+Yes, yoga can strengthen your body and possibly help with flexibility & balance; but another beautiful reason to practice yoga is the mind + body + soul connection this practice can bring.

+Yoga helps you get out of your mind and into your body, helping relieve the constant mental chatter. This practice allows you to meet yourself where you are instead of constantly feeling like you have to better, or improve, yourself.

Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa

Did you know you can practice yoga without the physical postures (asana) at all? No yoga mat required!

"Yoga is not about self-improvement; it's about self-acceptance."

Why Practice Yoga?

The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning "to yoke," or "to unite." A running theme within yoga is connection; this can mean a connection to yourself, to your healing journey, or even to the Universe. Our hope for you is that you take what you experience + learn, while on your mat, into your everyday life.

THE MEANING OF THE WORD YOGA:

Yoga allows you to discover what already lives inside of you, showing you that you're already whole and complete.

Imagine practicing yoga with the sole purpose of getting to know your body's language and loving yourself as you are, right now. Our society has us believing that spending time on ourselves isn't productive... but I I believe that's the most productive thing we can ever do.

I also had a Reiki Session with Bobbi and it was amazing. It helped move me past some blocks I was having and helped to allow new energy in. The “problems” that seemed to keep coming up for me have resolved themselves. Seems pretty magical what a shift in energy can do. Thank you Bobbi I am so happy you are sharing your gifts with us❤️

"I have been attending Yoga classes at KALME Yoga studio and I love them! The perfect “me” time with no judgement and a space to just take care of myself!

PAULA B.

Her yoga classes are a wonderful way for me to gain strength, flexibility and balance for me!!! I have also received reiki from Bobbi and her support and suggestions were welcomed and appreciated! Bobbi is intuitive, natural and has the best energy to share with others.

I have attended yoga classes from Bobbi since she opened in August of 23. She guides her students of all ability levels and always encourages us to listen to our bodies for what they need!

LINDA M.

She is wonderful and you should really try one of her classes! It is so nice to have a local yoga instructor.

We are loving Bobbi's yoga classes at Fit Express!

Benefits of Practicing Yoga

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE

Our bodies naturally heal themselves when we allow it - yoga helps get you out of your mind and into your body, and this is when healing can begin.

Stress management, which can help with chronic pain, sleeping issues, and the inability to concentrate (brain fog).

Deepen your healing journey by connecting your mind, body, and consciousness.

A regular yoga practice promotes mental clarity + calm, increases body awareness, and helps to relieve chronic stress. Time spent on the mat helps you off the mat too.

Taking time for yourself allows you to show up as your best self for those who need you.

Creates a practice of being present, mindful, and aware of your own body.

Trauma.
I had an aversion to this word for a few solid decades. I didn't want to admit I experienced trauma or that life had thrown me several curveballs that knocked me down. I didn't WANT the damn trauma so I ignored it and developed coping mechanisms like becoming disconnected from my feelings... and my body.

You never know who has been through trauma because, as a society, we've gotten so good at hiding it. My trauma-informed lens allows me to interact with, and cue, students in a way that hopefully allows them to feel safe in their bodies. It's my hope that practicing with me offers space for healing trauma instead of triggering it.

What's it mean to be a trauma-informed yoga teacher?
